About Me

I'm Felix Kitaka. I'm a software engineer and entrepreneur in Kampala, Uganda, dedicated to bridging the digital divide through localized innovation.

In 2009, I walked away from the traditional academic path to prove there is more than one way to build a meaningful life. That choice wasn't popular. But it was mine. Over the next decade, I taught myself to code and built a career spanning senior engineering roles at world-class organizations including Headspace, Andela, and ThoughtWorks.

But my goal was always to build something of my own. In 2019, I founded Audersity Studios with a vision to serve as a "gateway to the new world" - a world where all dreams are valid regardless of geographical location. Operating at the intersection of global excellence and local relevance, I'm focused on leveraging cutting-edge AI to solve African problems and ensuring the digital revolution includes everyone, regardless of the language they speak.

What I'm Building

Most recently, I spearheaded the development of LugandaGPT - a groundbreaking AI voice assistant designed to make technology accessible to millions of Ugandans in their native tongue. This work sits at the core of Waseme AI, the company I founded to build voice-first AI for African languages.

The Kitakas

My wife Rukh-Shana and I co-host The Kitakas - a podcast about life, marriage, faith, and figuring things out together. It's grown to over 26,000 subscribers, and it's how many people first came across my name. The show is raw, honest, and unscripted - much like how we try to live.

The Book

I co-authored The Woman's Bait with my wife, Rukh-Shana Kitaka, available on Amazon and at Aristoc Booklex in Kampala. It's a compelling exploration of emotional dynamics and communication within marriages, offering practical strategies and insights for couples.
